How Often Should You Pressure Wash Your House in Florida?
Florida heat and humidity feed mold, mildew and algae all year. A simple cleaning schedule keeps your home looking good and protects paint and stucco.
A simple schedule
- House exterior: once a year
- Driveway and sidewalks: once or twice a year
- Pool deck and patio: every 6 months
- Roof: soft wash every 2 to 3 years
Signs it's time
Green or black streaks on the north side of the house, slippery pavers, and dark stains on the roof are all signs that growth has taken hold.
Soft washing vs pressure washing
Roofs, stucco and screen enclosures should be soft washed with low pressure and a cleaning solution. High pressure is best for concrete and pavers.
